FarStone Technology, Incorporated is a pioneer in continuous data protection, disaster recovery and storage management. Founded in 1993, FarStone provides consumers, SOHO and small/medium business (SMB) with technologically advanced, easy-to-use and affordable disk imaging, system snapshot and bare-metal restore software and solutions.

With headquarters in Irvine, California, and offices in Taiwan and China, this privately-held corporation designs, develops and markets its software and solutions to value-added resellers, distributors, service providers and branded Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) worldwide.

FarStone retains more than 100 employees, the majority of who are software developers and engineers, and who have contributed to over 30 technology patents, awarded and pending. Because FarStone has strength in software development, the company offers both turnkey and customized software to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), system builders, Internet service providers (ISPs), and application service providers (ASPs). These partners integrate FarStone products with their own solutions to help generate extra revenue, reduce their operating costs, differentiate their products and services, and increase customer loyalty.

DriveClone — Affordable Continuous Data Protection

Drive Clone is an all-in-one integrated system recovery solution for consumers and business users. DriveClone is a suite of software products and is the only market solution combining disk imaging and cloning for backup with bare-metal restore and sector-level system snapshots for instant and complete recovery. It brings affordable business-class technologies to all PCs in an easy-to-use way, requiring virtually no assistance from outside technical support people.

DriveClone Personal creates a complete disk image of a hard drive. This disk image can be used for backup and recovery, to quickly transfer all information on a hard drive onto a new hard drive, or to copy a single system configuration across multiple hard drives or partitions.

DriveClone Pro adds automatic, ongoing file version backup and system snapshots (“Continuous Data Protection” technology), enabling fast recovery from data disasters or system problems not involving the hard disk.

DriveClone Server provides all the great features found in DriveClone Pro, but is optimized for Windows server operating systems. It provides local protection against system failure and the Universal Restore feature provides the ability to upgrade to dissimilar hardware quickly and without hardware or driver incompatibility issues.

DriveClone Network is a centrally managed backup and recovery solution for small business networks; provides centralized management of workstations and servers across a local area network; provides the lowest cost of ownership in protecting networked PC assets; a scalable recovery solution for small businesses @mdash; a server operating system is not required.

VirtualDrive®
VirtualDrive is a CD emulator and data archiving utility that copies a CD or unprotected DVD as a compressed image, or “virtual disc,” and saves the file to a hard drive, a network, or to a portable medium. A favorite of parents with small children and PC gamers, VirtualDrive has also gained traction with schools and libraries who can easily manage application CD collections and protect original discs from loss, theft, and damage. VirtualDrive is available in PC and local area network versions.
