Deal delivers FarStone software on Plextor
hardware devices to European customers
IRVINE, CA
— April 4, 2006 — FarStone Technology, Inc., developer of PC system
recovery software and CD/DVD content replication solutions, today announced a partnership
with Plextor to deliver FarStone’s RestoreIT® 7 and VirtualDrive® 10 software to
distributors and resellers in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
Plextor, an international manufacturer of recording equipment, will bundle
Special Edition (SE) versions of FarStone’s RestoreIT 7 and VirtualDrive 10 products
with their CD/ DVD optical drives and hard disk drive products. Retail packaging includes a
comprehensive range of full and trial software. Plextor customers include distributors and
resellers in EMEA.

FarStone’s RestoreIT Personal Disaster Recovery™ software is
the best insurance policy against data loss and PC problems. RestoreIT’s patented
technology creates ongoing, complete and multiple incremental backup images of a

or carry and load their CD & DVD discs to play them, which saves their disc collection
from handling damage. FarStone’s patented RapidCache™ technology improves PC
performance by reducing CD/DVD access times by up to 75 percent with zero disc spin up
time. The Virtual Hard Drive feature emulates a hard disk drive in RAM, so users can store
